Registrations for the 33rd National Vocational Education and Training (VET) Research Conference ‘No Frills’ are now open.
This year, the conference registration fee is $350, which includes all Thursday and Friday sessions. Please note that the Welcome reception and Conference dinner are not included in this price.

Conference Dinner
Join us for a three course dinner hosted at North Metropolitan Tafe's Joondalup campus. The conference dinner provides another great networking opportunity and hear from guest speaker Catherine MacDougall, Co-founder, Prepare Produce Provide.
Catherine MacDougall is a chef, educator and trainer who co-founded Prepare Produce Provide (PPP), a not-for-profit organisation helping young people pursue careers in education, food and hospitality.
Committed to creating meaningful change, Catherine is adopting a multi-faceted approach in addressing the complex issues facing youth.
The ‘5000Meals’ program addresses wastage and food insecurity by bringing together chefs, students, volunteers and donated food to create nutritious meals for people experiencing homelessness. Since its 2012 inception, it has provided more than 100,000 meals and 45,000 meals during the Covid-19 pandemic. The ‘Djinda Ngardak’ culinary program offers Aboriginal students across Western Australia the opportunity to train with top chefs and cultural leaders, inspiring careers in the hospitality and tourism industries. It supported the first two Indigenous youth to participate in Germany’s Culinary Olympics. Catherine’s efforts are testament to the power of local engagement. Her selfless efforts are fostering community spirit and empowering Indigenous young people.
Conference Dinner Transport
The conference dinner will be held at the North Metropolitan Tafe Joondalup campus. To make it easier for delegates, we have arranged bus transportation to and from the conference dinner for a small fee. Delegates are also welcome to make their own way to and from the conference dinner with parking located near the venue. You can book your conference dinner transport during the registration process.

Terms and conditions
Cancellations
Refunds will only be issued on receipt of written cancellation prior to Monday 24 June 2024. All refunds will incur a service fee of $35 plus GST.
Any cancellations after Monday 24 June 2024, including change of name and dietary changes will not be accepted. There will be no refunds for non-attendance.
Privacy
NCVER organises public events for the dissemination of VET information. Participants registering for NCVER events may also receive further information related to NCVER activities, future events and products, and their personal information (i.e. name, organisation and email) may be included in a list for circulation to attendees and sponsors of the event.
This event may be recorded for the purpose of all forms of media and/or broadcast, exhibition, publicity, and promotion and photographs may be used in future promotion by NCVER.
Individuals may opt out of being included in event attendee listings upon request to events@ncver.edu.au by no later than 10am ACST on Monday 24 June 2024. Individuals may also opt out of being included in any further mailings of information.
